Sicamous

Northern Okanagan

Canada’s Houseboat Capital is also known for it’s world class sledding, friendly folks and it’s laid back culture.

The houseboat capital of Canada.

Located in the Shuswap area, Sicamous is located between Mara Lake and Shuswap Lake, where over 200 houseboats are rented out every year.

Nestled in the Northern Okanagan region, Sicamous is a very popular vacation destination boasting plenty of activities, attractions, and several local artisan shops and restaurants. You’ll find tourists enjoying the beaches and boating at both Shuswap and Mara Lakes, hiking the trails or exploring nearby towns, orchards and wineries.

The houseboating season, which runs from May through to October each year, is the main attraction in Sicamous.  Take out your floating condo on the lake, soak up some sun, take a dip in the lake, a spin on a jet ski, spend some quality time with friends & family while you set up a campfire beachside in the evening. Houseboating in the Shuswap is an incredibly fun and special experience that everyone should take in.
