Myra Canyon Trestles

Okanagan Valley, BC

Running along a steep-walled canyon along Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) is the highly-scenic Myra Canyon Trestles.

2 tunnels and 18 trestle bridges, built by hand at the turn of the century. Simply spectacular!

These trestles are part of the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) and are located within Myra Bellevue Provincial Park.

Located only 24km from downtown Kelowna , this scenic drive will take you past farms, orchards, vineyards, and golf courses and leads you up a steep gravel road.

The best way to explore the Myra Canyon Trestles is by hiking or biking along the Myra Canyon Trestles Trail, which spans about 24 km round trip between Myra Station and Ruth Station. For a shorter, popular hike, you can start at the Myra Station trailhead and cover an 8 km round trip, which includes 13 of the trestles and both tunnels.

The trestles were originally constructed in the early 1900s and have since been restored after a devastating wildfire in 2003. The restoration efforts have preserved the historical integrity of the structures, making them safe and accessible for visitors
